The GPeC triad: summit, gala, expo<\/h3>\n

Yes, there are the\u00a0GPeC Summit conferences<\/a>\u00a0and there is the Gala itself, on November 24th. But there is also the GPeC E-Commerce Expo \u2013 THE place where online shops meet their services providers. The companies that will participate have to be providing\u00a0solutions and e-commerce services such as: web-development, SEO, SEM \/ AdWords, user experience, e-mail marketing,\u00a0courier services etc.<\/p>\n

F64, an online shop competing in the GPeC this year, had an interesting campaign dubbed Black Friday Pro, that brought in 2 million euros in sales, 61% of which\u00a0from online sales, says\u00a0Capital.ro<\/a>. 2Parale already launched the\u00a0#BlackFridayiscoming<\/a>\u00a0initiative and they organize a meet-up on November 5th; they also launched the official\u00a0Black Friday 2015 Song<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"emag\"<\/a>eMAG doesn’t merge with\u00a0Netretail anymore<\/h3>\n

Naspers,\u00a0major stakeholder of eMag, dropped its initial plan of merging with eMag. Initially, the company intended to build\u00a0a top e-commerce platform for Central and Eastern Europe, but „divergent strategic visions couldn’t allow the merger to happen”, says a press release from Naspers. Aditionally, Naspers is selling Netretail and the price comparison platform Heureka.<\/p>\n

Internet is changing?<\/h3>\n

The vote in the European Parliament this week endangers the Net neutrality. The amendments meant to protect the Internet we know today were rejected, including by the majority of the Romanian members of the Parliament, says\u00a0Asocia\u021bia Pentru Tehnologie \u0219i Internet (ApTI)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For example, the European e-commerce market could be affected by the „two gears” of the Internet and the newcomers will be discouraged. An online shop with a bigger financial power than others would pay the Internet providers for better speed for\u00a0the website loading.<\/p>\n

Easy online price comparison<\/h3>\n

This habit is to be found offline also and some price checkings are done even in the brick-and-mortar shops.<\/p>\n
