The GPeC E-Commerce Summer School is approaching…

According to a survey by 2Parale, Romanians have spent the most on fashion, books and education materials, IT&C, home& deco products and cosmetics, in the last 6 months. On average, consumers spent 1.000 lei for a holiday package, 630 lei for an IT&C product, 220 lei for the home&deco products and 210 lei for baby and children products.

A growing number of brick-and-mortar shops have started to use e-tags on the shelves, in order to offer the consumers better prices, compared to those in the online shops. Amazon started this trend amongst mortar stores a few years ago. “If we have a TV for $1,200 and Amazon has it for $900, customers are going to say, what the heck, your prices are not the lowest,” said David Bash, chief information officer at Nebraska Furniture Mart. “These electronic shelf tags are not just here to look pretty. They’re here to make sure you get the best deal.”
