Bonami enters the Romanian market
Bonami, an online store of furniture and home&deco products, headquartered in the Czech Republic, expands its operations also on the Romanian market, having more than 120,000 already registered users. The company is currently operating in the Czech Republic, in Poland, Slovakia and Romania. The Czech retailer estimates a turnover of EUR 500,000 for our country in this year, and EUR 3 million in 2017.
Quicker and quicker deliveries in Bucharest
Customers prefer more and more the quick delivery when placing their online orders. Delivering the products in just a few hours is starting to be a common practice in Bucharest. ONly big retailers offer this service for the moment and only in Bucharest. EvoMag offers the 1-hour delivery option and eMag has a 2-hour delivery option for selected products.
Google Express expands
Google Express will be available in a number of new states in both the Southeast and Northwest of the USA. With these added regions, Google Express will now reach 70 million more people. The service aims to challenge Amazon, and in particular Amazon Prime Now, the online retailer’s same-day delivery service that’s live in major cities around the U.S. for Amazon Prime customers.
15 shops close every day in the UK
With the expansion of e-commerce, there were 15 shop closures a day across the UK in the first half of 2016 and the number of new openings has fallen to the lowest level for five years. Fashion shops are struggling, with 206 closing in the first half of the year and only 119 opening, leading to a net decline of 87. In contrast, tobacconists increased by a net of 28, with 60 openings and 32 closures, while estate agents added 26 sites and jewellers 24.
