The challenges of online shops
According to the UPS study „Pulse of the Online Shopper 2016”, when a product is not in the stock of an online shop, 61% of Europeans buy from the competition and only 17% are willing to wait. 31% of the 700 partcipants at this survey want to use the brick-and-mortar shop network or other locations as delivery points of their online orders. Alphabet (Google) is testing drone delivery
Alphabet, the company behind Google, announced that it will test deliveries with drones in the US, in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration. Amazon is testing this solution since 2013 and it recently launched a new series of tests, in partnership with the British government. More details at Agerpres.ro.
The start-ups map in Europe
NETOPIA mobilPay was placed on the Europe’s map of start-ups that received the biggest financing. The map of this start-ups was published on www.cbinsights.com, and among the listed companies there are a lot of online or tech companies, such as Bla Bla Car from France and Trustpilot from Denmark.
Global e-commerce platform
The Alibaba Group seeks e-commerce partners to establish an international electronic commerce platform. Jack Ma hopes that big names from the industry such as Amazon will be willing to collaborate with Alibaba to create this platforms, according to Ecompedia.
