Electronics and IT are the leaders
Electronics and IT online shops area leading in a top of the most visible e-commerce websites in Romania, on blogs, forums and social networks. The top 10 is: 1. eMAG, 2. Quickmobile, 3. Romanians hate ads on the Internet
More than 2 mil. browsers have an adblocker installed. “The only ad format that an adblocker cannot block is the content (original and relevant content, if possible). A company blog, a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, online content projects and other ideas like these”, says Marketing 20.ro.

Amazon: bigger, richer, faster
Amazon will open a 500,000-square-foot warehouse in Joliet, Illinois, and has already posted job announcements. Amazon began shopping for warehouse space in the state last fall, saying then it planned to invest $75 million in Illinois. The company says it will hire 1,000 full-time workers to staff the facility, which will stock smaller goods, such as books, electronics and consumer goods.

Lower VAT, but bigger proces
Ziarul Financiar did a simple research considering a 21-product shopping basket from 3 online shops, to analyze the price evolution after the recent VAT change for food products. In some shops, there are products with bigger prices, even 30% more expensive compared to June. The ZF Index is a simple research based on the data available on shops’ websites.

Adevărul says one can make money just by “sitting in front of the computer, making minimal investments and having maximum fun” and, in a list put together by the website, there is the online business with cheap Chinese products. Among the business opprtunities: blogging (especially videoblogging), taking photos for stock photography agencies, affiliate marketing, sale of customized products.
