Interview with Simo Ahava: E-commerce isn’t just about transactions

Our GPeC Team interviewed Simo Ahava, an expert in customized web analytics solutions and tag management in e-commerce, specialized in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and named Developer Expert for Google Analytics in 2014-2015 by Google. Simo is dedicated to the interface between marketing and development and his main focus is data management. He is currently the Production Director of NetBooster. Simo has been doing web development and SEO since 1997, web analytics since the early days of JavaScript tagging, Google Analytics since the library was urchin.js and Google Tag Manager since its release. You can meet Simo for the first time in Romania at GPeC Summit (Bucharest, May 11-12-13 2015)! He will deliver both a keynote speech on May 11 and a workshop on Enhanced E-Commerce on May 12. It’s a must-attend for all those who want to make more out of their data!

Innovative campaign for ZorileStore: the Sandalandala camping opens in Vama Veche

ZorileStore, winner of the Best Start-up in E-Commerce award at GPeC E-Commerce Awards Gala 2012, comes up with an innovative offline campaign for the summer of 2014. The online shop opens the Sandalandala camping in Vama Veche – a 4000 square meters campign area with a capacity of 400 tents. ZorileStore’s goal is to meet their clients face-to-face and get to know them, consequently growing their trust in the ZorileStore brand. The Sandalandala campign also benefits from a 100 seats terrace and an open air cinema, wi-fi internet being present as well for those who won’t leave their laptops at home. The campign can accommodate 800 people, but the ZorileStore team expects somewhere over 2000 visitors for the 1st of May holiday. The Sandalandala campaign was created by the ZorileStore team together with the Storience branding agency.

Amazon launched Amazon Dash

Amazon launched a new device, Amazon Dash – a small equipment that lets users add groceries and household goods to their Amazon Fresh shopping lists. For the moment, Amazon Dash is free for Amazon Fresh users – Amazon Fresh is a service operating only in Southern California, San Francisco and Seattle for the moment. As far as the apperance is concerned, Amazon Dash is a wand-shaped remote control equiped with microphone, bar code reader and speaker. The device connects to your wi-fi and your Amazon Fresh account and lets you add products to your shopping list either by voice or by bar code scanning.
