Dan Ariely is in the Bloomberg list of the 50 most influential contemporary thinkers – an elitist ranking dedicated to personalities who, through their activity, have a significant impact on the change of mentalities, principles, public policies, markets, ideas. He is University Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Economics at Duke University and one of the world’s most influential authorities and voices in Behavioral Economics.

He holds a PhD in cognitive psychology and business administration and has over 20 years of experience researching the hidden psychological insights that lead people to act in predictable ways.

Dan Ariely is the author of 3 books – New York Times Bestsellers: Predictably IrrationalThe Upside of Irrationality and The (Honest) Truth About Dishonesty

In his latest book –  Misbelief  (2023) – Dan Ariely studies and explains what makes rational people believe in irrational things.

He is a founding member of the Center for Advanced Hindsight, co-creator of the documentary film (Dis)Honesty: The Truth About Lies, and included in the Forbes list of 10 Gurus You Should Know.
